One of the things I love about Fortnite is the constant change in the game. Sometimes change occurs on the map itself (like that weird CUBE which is moving around to God knows where) and other times and more predictably so, Epic Games pushes patches bringing new weapons, skins and Limited Time Modes.
In the latest updated pushed by EPIC for Fortenite Battle Royale, the game has removed the Soaring 50’s LTM and has been replaced with Solid Gold 50v50 LTM, along with another Solid Gold mode that replaces the Score Royale LTM which was previously made available in the game.
The Solid Gold mode brings some changes to the 50v50 mode. Most notably, all weapons in the game will be the yellow-golden coloured Legendary items hence the name Solid Gold. Players will also get more resources when they farm bricks and metal rather than wood in the game.
There is another Solid Gold mode which is the Solo game mode, but same rules applied as Solid Gold 50v50 LTM, so all weapons drops are Legendary here too.
The new update also brings along a new set of grenade called ‘Shockwave Grenade’ which is the same as the impulse grenade except that the Shockwave grenade is much more powerful. The new grenade imparts immunity to fall damage to anyone who is propelled in the air from the grenade, so it is advised not to use it to try and kill enemies; however, it can be a pretty handy tool to approach an enemy faster or making a quick getaway.
Other than that, the update brings some changes to Fortnite’s ‘Save the World PvE’ mode including a new character called the Mythic Bladestorm Enforcer Ninja with unique abilities and a legendary variant of Raider, called Redline Ramirez. The Save, the World PvE mode on Fortnite, isn’t currently free to play, but it will be made free sometime this year according to Epic Games, but a date has not been announced.
