Xiaomi Mi Mix 3, First Non-Gaming Smartphone With 10GB RAM Is Official


Xiaomi has now made its Mi Mix 3 official, making it the first non-gaming device with a massive 10Gb of RAM space. The phone’s specifications are interesting and may take on the OnePlus 6T that will soon be released.


The Mi Mix 3 comes in three variants but none of them will feature an indisplay fingerprint sensor.

Design and Display

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 seems to borrow the Oppo Find X sliding to hide its cameras, reduce bezels and achieve a large body to screen ratio. Unlike the Oppo Find X, the camera does not use sliders to powered by Motors.

The pop up camera uses a magnetic motorized manual slider that can act as a customisable shortcut action for many tasks.

The Mi Mix 3 is built around a 6.4 Inch AMOLED screen, the resolution is 1080×2340 pixels offering a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and Xiaomi claims the device has a massive 93.4% screen to body ratio.


The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset clocked at 2.8GHz (4×2.8 GHz Kryo 385 Gold & 4×1.7 GHz Kryo 385 Silver) and paired with paired with Adreno 630 GPU.

For RAM space, you either get 6GB of RAM space and 128GB of internal storage while there is an 8GB RAM version with 256Gb of internal memory. For the big boys, there is also the 10GB RAM version that also offers 256 Gb of internal storage space. All storage versions are non-expandable.

Camera Specifications


For optics, you get front and back dual camera set up. The front dual camera sensors are 24 MP Sony IMX576 sensor with 1.8-micron pixel + 2 MP sensor offering light support.

The rear camera features – 12 MP Sony IMX363 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and 1.4-micron pixels, as well as dual-pixel tech + 12 MP Samsung S5K3M3+ sensor with an f/2.4 aperture, and 1-micron pixels.

Other features include dual-LED flash, OIS, optical zoom, night mode, AI background music in 960fps slow-motion, AI scene detection, AI bokeh, AI studio, 4K recording at 60 fps and AI scene detection.


The phone comes with a 3,850mAh battery with 10-watt wireless charging support and a Qi wireless charging pad shipping with the smartphone.

There is a rear fingerprint sensor, and the Mi Mix 3 also supports Google ARCore. Connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac dual-band (4×4 MU-MIMO ), Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C support.
